Sermon Series List

 Milestones

Throughout August, we will be all be gathering at 10am for one big morning service each Sunday. In our sermon series, called “Milestones”, we will be talking about how our journeys of faith might each be very different, and yet there will likely be some common milestones along the way.  No matter what path we take as we walk towards and with God, there are almost always some special moments that each of us will recognise and resonate with…

Sunday 4th August: ‘A Moment of… Submission’ – 10.00am (live-streamed)
This Sunday we have a very special guest, as “our man in Sierra Leone” will be with us! Join us as we interview Dr. Abs Dumbuya and find out about his story of struggle, study and submission to God. We all have a call on our lives and often we wrestle with God about what we are to do… what might God be calling you to do, and will you submit to Him?

Sunday 11th August: ‘A Moment of… Communion’ – 10.00am (live-streamed).

At EBC, we normally share Communion at one service each month. But have you ever really thought about what it is we’re doing and what the word ‘communion’ really means? Is there something special, holy and supernatural going on when we ‘have communion’? Or is it simply a traditional thing we do to remember Jesus?

Sunday 18th August: ‘A Moment of… Crisis’ – 10.00am (live-streamed).
You’re driving along on a nice clear road, the sun is shining and all is right with the world! Hold on though… what’s that noise coming from the engine? Where did that massive hole in the road come from and why did all four tyres suddenly blow out just as you noticed the oil temperature rising!

Sunday 25th August: ‘A Moment of… Solitude’ – 10.00am All-sorts service (No Livestream)
Join us for our All-sorts service as we all get together around tables to talk about being alone! Sounds a little off, we know, but this Sunday we’re going to talk about the times when we are all by ourselves, with only our thoughts, our surroundings – and God – to keep us company…

I am New

Welcome from all of us at Easthampstead Baptist Church!

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about us. As you explore our website, we hope that you catch a broader glimpse of what EBC is all about. It's about people - people just like you - who want to embark on a journey to discover more of God and his will for our lives.

What should I expect on a Sunday Morning?

Sometimes going to a church for the first time can be a little daunting. I promise we won't bite! To help ease any uncertainties below are the answers to some common questions people have before attending a Sunday morning.

What do I have to wear?
We are a 'come as you are' sort of people and have no formal dress-code for our Sunday services.
We can assure you that we don't have bouncers on the door vetting your attire!

If you are still not sure, feel free to check out our services on YouTube to have an idea.

What time do I need to be there?
We run two Sunday morning services which start at 9:30am and 11:00am.
On the 4th Sunday of the month we run our All-sorts service which starts at 10:00am.

Check out our other services below!

We would recommend you turn up 10 minutes before the service starts so you have a chance to say hi!
If you have children that need signing in to the children and youth work, they need to be signed in from 10:50am.

Parking
There is plenty of parking both out the front and at the back of the building. Just follow the signs!

How safe is my child in your care?
We run separate children and youth work during our 11:00am service, which is run by a group of volunteers who have all been DBS checked.

Children ages 11 and under must be signed in and out by their parent/carer. The youth can sign themselves in and out.
